Vajrabhairava Practice

Praise to Yamantaka!

The practice of Vajrabhairava is as follows. Prepare everything according to the image of the torma of the sixty [parts].

DAG NYI JIG JE ZHAL CHIG CHAG NYI PA
KU DOG NGON PO DUN GYI DE NAM KYANG
ZHAL CHIG MA HEI ZHAL DANG CHAG ZHI PA
DRI GUG ThO ThRAG DUNG DANG DORJE DZIN
THAM CHE ThRO WOI ChA LUG YONG SU DZOG
DUN DU TSO WO CHIG LA KhOR CHU KOR

I myself am a Bhairava with one face and two hands, a body of blue color. In front of me is also [Vajrabhairava] with one face in the form of a bull's head. With four hands, he holds a severing dagger, a skull cap with blood on it, a pike-spear, and a vajra. All are fully decorated with the attributes of the wrathful [deities]. The main [deity] in front of me is surrounded by ten [deities].

    OM YAMARACHA HUM PHET

This is the mantra of the [deity] ahead.

That's your own mantra:

    OM YAMANTAKA HUM PHET

After making the preparations in a large or medium form, bring fifteen small [offerings] every day. Bring three to the central direction, three to the east, three to the south, three to the west, three to the north. Chant this offering mantra:

Mingyur Dorje

Lionhead Practice

KON CHOG SUM LA KYAB CHI ZHING
DRO WEI DON DU JANG CHUB DRUB

I take refuge in the Three Jewels! I will gain enlightenment for the sake of beings!

OM SWABHAVA SHUDDHA DHARMA SWABHAVA SHUDDHO HAM

RANG SEM HUM GI ThRO DU LE
TENG OG ChOG TSHAM ThAM CHE KUN
NAM CHAG KhOR LO TSIB TONG DANG
GYA DRAM KhANDRO DRI GUG DANG
PhUR PA DRA TA KhATAM DANG
RAL DRI ME POONG BAR WEI GUR

My mind is the syllable Hum. [Rays of light] radiate from it and gather. In all directions, from above and below, a tent of blazing flame appears with a dakini [holding] a curved knife, a dagger-kilaya, an axe, a wand-khatvanga and a sword [and is] on a wheel of metallic iron with a thousand spokes and a crossed vajra.

BAR TSHAM LE JE KhANDRO GANG
BAR CHE DRA GEG ThAL WAR LAG
DE YU NAM CHAG GO ME KhAR
DRU JI MU PHUNG TSHA TSHA ThRO

The intermediate directions are filled with dakinis performing deeds. Obstacles, enemies, and elementary obstacles crumble to dust. In the middle of this is a fortress without a gate made of meteoric iron, quadrangular, emitting flaming flames and sparks.

DE NANG NAM CHAG CHO TENG U
    SER GYI DORJEI TE WARU
NYI DEI BAR DO O NGEI GUR
DE U CHO JUNG PE NYI RO YI TENG
RANG NYI YE SHE KhANDRO KU DOG ThING

Inside it is a stupa made of meteorite iron. In the middle of it is a golden vajra. In the middle of it is a tent of five kinds of light between the sun and the moon. In the middle of it is the dharma fountain, the lotus, the sun, and the corpse. On top of it, I am a dakini of inherent wisdom with a blue body.

Vajrabhairava.

Brief Practice of Torma Sixty Vajrabhairavas

Praise to Yamantaka!

This is the practice of the torma of their sixty parts from the oral lineage of Bhairava. Install a mandala of eleven slides of flowers. On top of this, everything should be arranged according to the text of the torma of sixty [parts]. Make all the preparations and piles in accordance with the image.

Then perform self-generation by instantaneous perfect mindfulness:

DAG NYI JIG JE ZHAL CHIG CHAG NYI PA
KU DOG NGON PO DRI GUG THE ThRAG DZIN
ZHAL CHIG MA HEI ZHAL CHEN ZHAB NYI DRE
ThRO WOI ChA LUG YONG SU DZOG PAR SAL

I myself am a Bhairava with one face, two arms, and a blue body. I hold the severing knife and the lid of the skull with the blood on it. The only face has the head of a buffalo. Both legs are spread wide apart. I manifest myself by being perfect in the attributes of the wrathful [deities].

YE NE DAM YE YER ME ThUG SOG HUM
DE LA DA JEI NGAG KYI KOR LE
O ThRO GYAL WA SE CHE JIG JE KYI
NAM PAR CHEN DRANG DAG LA ThIM PAR GYUR

[In the heart is the syllable] Hum, the seed syllable of the beginningless inseparability of jnanasatta and samayasattva. From the circle of the mantra that should be recited, rays of light radiate around it. The victorious Ones and the Sons called in the form of Bhairava are dissolved in me.

    OM YAMANTAKA HUM PHAT

This is the approximation.

Such is the generation before [itself]:

Heavenly Teaching, Treasury of the Mind, Oral transmission, Secret Cycle

The practice of the Hundred Holy Families of the Peaceful and Wrathful [Deities]

I bow before Samantabhadra and the peaceful and wrathful deities! The practice of the hundred holy families [is done without] mandala and torma.

RANG NYI DOR SEM KU DOG KAR
ZHAL CHIG CHAG NYI YE DORJE
ThUG KAR DZIN CING YONG PA YI
DRIL BU KUR TEN ZHAB SEM KIIL
KU LA DAR KAR NA ZA SOL
    RINPOCHE YI GYEN GYI TRE

I [arise] as a Vajrasattva, with a white body, one face, and two hands. The right hand holds the vajra at the heart. The left one is lying on the hip with a bell. Legs in the bodhisattva pose. A robe of white silk is draped over the body. Decorated with precious jewelry.

NYING KhA CHO KYI KhOR LO RU
ZHI WA ZHI CHU TSA NYI NI
GYEN DANG ChA LUG DZOG PAR KYE
DRIN PAR RIG DZIN LHA TSHOG SAL
LE PA DUNG KhANG ZHAL YE SU
ThRAG ThUNG BAR WA NGA CHU GYE

In the wheel - the chakra of the Teaching in the heart-the forty-two peaceful [deities] manifest with perfect ornaments and attributes. In the throat-manifests the assembly of the deities-holders of knowledge. In the head, fifty-eight blood-drinking [wrathful deities] manifest in an immeasurable palace.

Then you should recite this mantra:

OM A HUM BODHICHITTA MAHA SUKHA JNANA DHATU A
OM RULU RULU HUM BHYO HUM
    OM A HUM SVAHA
    OM VAJRA SATVA HUM

Repeat it three times in your mind and as many times as you want. Through this, the [level] of the hundred holy families is reached.
