The emergence of the prediction and the doctrine

Om mani padme hum Hrih!
The essence of the body, speech and mind of all the Enlightened of the three times! I pray to the Lord of Uddiyana who establishes beings [in a state of] happiness!
O son who bestows divination and sheds the Teaching through the blessings of his compassion! [You] rain down the treasury of the holy Teaching for the monk Sangye Lingpa!
The first one here [is this]. In accordance with this, in the gate of the highest place of Chari, while performing the secret practice of the dakini, a manifestation of direct experience was manifested. In a dream met a dakini and the comprehension of experience was ignited. Boundless wonders appeared, such as the meaning of entering blessings, etc. Particularly when turned to the radiance of gods and demons, the practice of the holy Doctrine of Terma, keys and divination appeared constantly. Fears disappeared and warmth and joy appeared.
Then for the preceptor Chholo, etc., and those who correspond to the guru teachers, brothers and sisters, explained the instructions of the keys, etc. [Having done so,] said, "Not true and false." After having said that, there also appeared some attacks and instructions concerning the body.
Chokyi Lodreux himself said: "Nevertheless, since it is not hidden by the edges of being, the speech of the teacher is shown by the rolls of paper. On this basis may the guru-teachers be granted sustenance for practice, such as the substance of the practice of terma, etc. And may [everything] be realized!"
Then, as joy and bliss appeared, in the mountain retreat atop Lhundrub, everything in accordance with the practices of the terma began to be realized. At that time, to those who had the signs of realization, which were elucidated accordingly, thanks to the guru-guru, devas, dakinis, guardians [those with vows] and protectors of the teachings, blessings, initiation and siddhis were bestowed visibly or in the experiences of sleep. Predictions, blessings-jenangas, etc., were realized. Obstacles have been dispelled and obligations have descended.
This is the first, chapter of the emergence of divination and doctrine.

The extraction of the terma from Puri Phugmoche

Then according to the sequence of the lineage of transmission [is shown] the way of demonstrating the holy teachings of the treasures.
In the beginning there was a place in Sulthren on a mountain in central [Tibet, which] was visited by the feet of the Great One from Uddiyana. In the place where the dakinis and the assembly of mamo gather, a strong movement of nagas and prices was shown. [On this road] in the highest place of Puri Phugmoche for the first period of the morning of the twenty-fifth day of the middle month of the autumn of the Dragon-Man-Tree year, [the] cycle of the noble Avalokiteshvara's teachings, the Jewel of wish fulfillment, was inaugurated. [Also revealed were] cycles of practices corresponding to the kriya-tantra, [the teachings of] Lama Gongpa Dupa, the dark red devata Hayagriva, and the "Shining Mirror of the Dakini." Thirty scrolls were retrieved, including those and the red Lokeshvara, etc., practices based on incipience and completion, etc. At this time there were signs of the entrance of blessings and magical manifestations of the protectors of the teachings, nagas and tsen, such as sounds and beams of light, earthquakes, etc.
Such is the second - chapter of the extraction of the terma from Puri Phugmoche, the extensive house of practice [of the teacher] of Uddiyana.

The extraction of the Keys from Kar Zugthrang

On the special eighth day of the rising moon of the last month of autumn of that year [he was] in a place known as "Kar Zugthrang" [dkar zug 'phrang]. [While there] retrieved the keys of the red Kongpo Tsechang [kong po rtse chen dmar] and Gyeorong [dgye 'o rong].
At this time, magical manifestations of the rude wind and the sounds of "So" appeared on Mount Pari Tskhur. Visions of the defenders of the doctrine, the Nagas, and the Mara also appeared.
This is the third, the chapter of retrieving the keys from Kar Zugthrang.

The extraction of the terma from the red rock of Tsachen

On the fifteenth day of the same month, from the red rock of Kongpo Tsachen were extracted [the teachings] called the Stage of Emergence "the source of all that is desired and necessary. Also extracted [were] the practice of peaceful and wrathful [deities] "Eight teachings," the essence tantras [spyi ti] of Great Perfection and the stage of completion, the practice of Kilai "Quintessence of Mind," the cycle of wealth practices "Holder of Siddhi Wealth," the cycle of increasing fools' procreation "Important Series," the Bernagchen defender cycle "Power of Life," three cycles of "Blades," etc. [There were extracted] the tantra of exile "Knowledge of Destructive Poison," the Black Tramen, etc. [Numerous methods of discarding bad visions, the white aspiration to happiness "Sheep Leadership," etc., were extracted.
In brief, one hundred and twenty-seven scrolls on [the activities of] appeasement, increase, subjugation, and the powerful were extracted. Also extracted were the substances of the vows, such as the crystal from the hand of [the Guru of] Uddiyana, the pills of mighty blessing, three measures of golden substances, the image of the lotus cap and the lotus torma, and the mask of the countenance of [the Guru of] Uddiyana. At this time, limitless comprehension and non-conceptual experience of [unity of] bliss and clarity appeared, great sounds such as Hum and so forth filled the spaces of the rainbow, bodily forms, syllables and letters were seen. Magical manifestations of Rahu, Dorje Legpa, Tsen and Tenma, the defenders of the Teachings, were arising.
Such is the fourth, the chapter of the extraction of the terma from the red rock of Tsachen.
