Noble [teaching]. Great Vehicle Sutra "Eight mandalas"

I prostrate before all the Enlightened Ones and Bodhisattvas!
    So I heard it once.
The Blessed One stayed with many hundreds of thousands of myriads of bodhisattvas at the place of the noble Avalokiteshvara on Mount Potalaka.
Then a bodhisattva-mahasattva named Ratnagarbha-chandakanti, who was surrounded by bodhisattvas, got up from the seat. Standing up, he threw a piece of dharmic clothing over his shoulder. Putting the knee of his right foot on the ground and bent down, joining his palms together, which were directed towards the Blessed One. Having done so, he said the following to the Blessed One:
Blessed one for fulfilling the predictions requested by the petitioners! If you can do this for me, then I ask about myself the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the truly perfect Enlightened One!
He said so and the Blessed One answered the Bodhisattva-mahasattva Ratnagarbha-chandakanti as follows:
Ratnagarbha-chandakanti! Ask whatever you want. Thanks to your questions and predictions, I will rejoice in your attitude.
He said so and the bodhisattva-mahasattva Ratnagarbha-chandakanti said the following to the Blessed One:
Blessed! If any son or daughter of the [noble] family wishes to compose the eight mandalas, what should they do?
    The Blessed One replied:
The son of the [noble] family! For the benefit of many beings, the happiness of many beings and the attainment of the incomparable primordial wisdom of sentient beings that are born in three times, you, the son of the [noble] family, you have nurtured courage! Favorable! Good! Good!
The son of the [noble] family! Therefore, only by repetition of any of the hearts will you purify the five boundless [bad deeds] and you will also acquire all the actual attainments-siddhis. Hear the heart of the eight bodhisattvas!

oṁ mahā hūṁ mahā vīra svāhā

With this heart, offerings are made to the Blessed in the middle.

oṁ hrī hūṁ padma pri ya svāhā

This is the heart of the noble Avalokiteshvara.

    oṁ mai hārāṇa svāhā

This is the heart of Maitreya.

    oṁ ākāśa garbhāya svāhā

[This is the heart of] Akashagarbha.

oṁ svā hri rā ya jva svāhā

This is the heart of Samantabhadra.

    oṁ kuru bha naraha svāhā

This is the heart of Vajrapani.

oṁ śrī aṁ raṁ ga svāhā

This is the heart of Manjushri.

    oṁ nisvāraṁbha svāhā

This is the heart of Sarvanivaranavishkambin.

oṁ kṣi ti ha rājā svāhā

This is the heart of Ksitigarbha.
If the son or daughter of the [noble] family repeats once before the mandala this heart of eight bodhisattvas, possessing the [essence] of the Tathagata, then all the goals of that [daughter or son] will be realized. He will quickly become enlightened, [having] unsurpassed, truly perfect enlightenment.
The Blessed One said so. These bodhisattvas-mahasattvas rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said.
Thus ends the noble [teaching] sutra of the Great Vehicle "Eight Mandalas."
