Hymn to the Three Jewels
I prostrate myself before the Three Jewels!
I prostrate myself before the main one, the Enlightened One! I prostrate myself before the Teachings of Defender! I prostrate myself before the great Good Assembly! I constantly prostrate myself before the Three [Jewels]!
You have completed two great accumulations, gained four knowledge and three bodies! You are well-versed, being perfectly clear, having no thoughts! You have dharmakaya, which is like space, and beautiful bodies of form! I prostrate myself before the Enlightened One, who is like the tree of wish fulfillment!
The essence of the Teaching is [presented in] twelve [types of] special utterances that correspond to the cause! In the Teaching [everything] is separated from the embellishment and there is no birth and death! By concentrating on this, you realize all the qualities! I prostrate myself before the holy Teaching, the good cause!
You have successively cleansed with antidotes the veils of obscurations-the flares and the veils of the knowable. After clearing, rest on the level of the [noble]! I prostrate myself before the great Benevolent Assembly of the noble ones who carry out the purposes of living beings and purify the land of the Enlightened One!
Thus ends the hymn to the Three Jewels composed by the great Acharya Maticitra.
Translated by Lama Karma Paljor (O. E. Filippov).
