vajra-anaṅga-sādhana
The Practice of Vajra-ananga, the Formless Vajra
After [performing] the rituals described above in sequence, meditate on emptiness. Upon completion, [visualize] a multicolored lotus and the Sun. The yellow seed syllable baṁ fully manifests upon them. I [emerge] from it as the holy Manjushri Vajra-Ananga, becoming truly perfect in an instant. With a yellow body, three faces, and six arms. I possess a pigtail and the charm of a sixteen-year-old. My right leg is bent. In my three right hands, I hold a sword, an arrow, and a mirror. In my three left hands, I hold an utpala, a bow, and an ashoka tree. I am beautiful because of adornments made of divine substances and my robes. Akshobhya resides as the adornment upon my head. Meditate thus. Practice meditation by connecting with madness.
Once again, in this manner, strike the heart of the Ashoka tree with an iron hook deep within the holes on either side [of the body]. Subdue it with the sword. Point the mirror toward the one for whom the practice is being performed.
Then, when the utpala completely binds the legs, the hair is released, and madness and dryness arise. Carry out the command.
oṁ – I seize <name> – mañjughoṣa hrīḥ jaḥ
Speak thus.
Thus ends the Vajra-angi practice.
