Prediction throught magical manifestation

Proclaimed by [a teacher] from Uddiyana

     Take in your hand one white and sixteen black pebbles. And whatever arises in completion as existing or non-existing, first make the invocation:
     I take refuge in the Three Roots and the Three Jewels!

     I engender the [enlightened] mindset to attain enlightenment [for the benefit of] all beings!
     In the middle of the lake in front of me, on the top of a lotus is Padmasambhava, who knows the three times, surrounded in a circle by vidyadharas, dakas and dakinis. Light is emitted from the three places, the original wisdom is invoked and dissolved [in them].

     [Next recite the prayer beginning with ]
     hūṁ!
     In the first era of the past.
     ...
     guru padma siddhi hūṁ

     You are seated on the lotus seat, sun and moon! I praise the body, speech and mind! I offer external, internal and secret offerings! I chant the hymn with faith and devotion!
     Padmasambhava, that unites all the Three Roots! There is no hope for anyone else but you! I offer my prayer with heartfelt devotion! I request that you grant the highest and ordinary valid siddhis and make clear sharp vision!
     oṁ āḥ hūṁ vajra guru padma siddhi hūṁ
     Let the gates of the eyes [that are like] a river open! Let the clear lamp of keen vision burst forth!
     Carry out recitation of prayers [of the like kind].
