The Practice of Ushnisha-Vijaya

    I prostrate before Ushnisha-Vijaya!
[Having performed] the rituals shown before, [visualize] on the moon the white syllable bhrūṁ. When it becomes perfect, [turn into Ushnisha-Vijaya] with three faces, and three eyes on each. Displaying the freshness of youth. Possessing ornaments of divine things and garments. Represent Ushnisha-Vijaya with eight arms.
His right and opposing countenances are yellow and black. In his four right hands he holds a multicolored vajra, the body of the Enlightened One that is on the lotus, an arrow and [constitutes the mudra of] bestowing the supreme. In his four left hands he holds a bow, a harness with a scorpion, [constitutes] the mudra of fearlessness, and holds a full vessel. Abides in the recess of the cave of the stupa.
When you conceive in this way, visualize in your heart the seed that abides on the lotus. Then successively visualize on the top of the head, interbrow [middle of the forehead], neck, navel, and feet the syllables hūṁ trāṁ trāṁ hrīḥ aṁ aḥ.
    oṁ bhrūṁ svāhā
Such is the mantra for recitation.
This is how the practice of Ushnisha-Vijaya is completed.
Translated and verified by Pandita Amoghavajra and the translator from Kham, monk Bari.
     Translated by Lama Karma Paljor.
