Hayagriva practice

I prostrate before the glorious Hayagriva!
[Perform] the rituals explained earlier. On the multicolored lotus and the Sun [appears] the red syllable hūṁ. From its original wisdom, when it becomes perfect, [appears] the noble Hayagriva of red color. With three countenances and eight arms. Each of the countenances possesses three eyes. The right and opposing countenances are blue and white. Possesses ornaments of serpents and abides, suppressing, in a majestic posture. Looks with an angry gaze. The first face smiles, the right face turns its tongue. Two fangs bite the lower lip, which is visible on the left face. Possesses a skirt made of the skin of a tiger. In the four right hands: vajr, club, action mudra, arrow. In the four left hands: [mudra] scorpion, adheres to one's own chest, lotus, raises a bow. Imagine possessing the diadem that is suppressed by Akshobhya.
Such is the samadhi of Hayagriva called Jnyanavajra.
    Mantra for repetition:
    oṁ hayagrīva svāhā
Thus ends the practice of Hayagriva.
Translated by Pandita Amoghavajra and the translator from Kham, monk Bari.
     Translated by Lama Karma Paljor.
