Simhanada practice

I prostrate before the holy Simhanada!
Thou possessest one countenance, two arms, a body of white color! You possess three eyes and sit on a lion! I prostrate before Simhanada, the teacher-guru, who destroys all diseases!
First, every mantrik should cleanse his face, etc. Sit on a good seat in a place that corresponds to the mind. From the formed white syllable a [appears] the disk of the moon. Look at the white syllable hrīḥ on it, [which is] in the heart. [The three spheres [of creation] are illuminated by the rays of light arising from it.] They reach the Akanishtha heaven and are invited to sit on the seat of Simhanāda, the teacher-gurus, the Enlightened Ones, and the bodhisattvas. As soon as they abide in the space in front of [you], make offerings, repent of harmful things, etc.
Then perform meditation on the four pure points [of the four measureless ones]. Having done so, [say]:
oṁ śūnyatā jñāna vajra svabhāva ātma ko haṁ
With this mantra bless as emptiness.
Then perform the prayer-wishing and remembrance. Having done so, [visualize that] from the formed white syllable paṁ [appears] a lotus. From the white syllable a formed on it [appears] the disk of the moon. From the white syllable āḥ formed on it [appears] a white lion. From the white syllable paṁ formed above it [appears] a white lotus. In its center [appears] the white syllable hrīḥ. [From it] rays of light are emitted and sent to the [surrounding] lands. When they are all perfect, look upon yourself as a lord in the form of Simhanāda. All parts [of the body] are white in color, one countenance, two hands. Possessed of three eyes, a silk cap of braids is tied. Amitabha adorned with a tiara. Sitting on a lion seat in the posture of a playing great king. Tiger skin garments are thrown on. The five Tathagatas are emitted. [Becoming] adorned with the five playing heroes and half of the moon. In the left hand over a white lotus is a white sword. Next to it [is] a white skull-capala, completely filled with various sweet-scented flowers, that rests on the white lotus. In the right on the white lotus [is] a white trident and a staff entangled with a white snake. Meditate on the Blessed One who appears like this.
If relaxation appears because of meditation, repeat the mantra. This is the mantra for that:
oṁ āḥ hrīḥ siṁha nāda hūṁ phaṭ svāhā
With this ritual form the bodily form. Also make an image on cotton and make a separate mandala in front of the Blessed One. When you have done so, recite the dharani once. Such is the dharani for this:
namo ratna trayāya nama ārya avalokiteśvarāya bodhisatvāya mahāsatvāya mahā kāruṇikāya tadyathā oṁ a kaṭe vi kaṭe ni kaṭe kaṭaṁ kaṭe karoṭe vīrye svāhā
Having recited [dharani] over cow dung that has not fallen to the ground, make eight mandalas. When you have done so, recite the dharani thirteen times over each mandala. After reciting the dharani seven times over the dung left from the dirt of each mandala, anoint the sick person with it. In this way you will accomplish [everything] for seven, thirteen or twenty-one days, even if you have performed five unparalleled [bad deeds] accordingly. But if you do not accomplish [everything], then I will also appear in this life as having performed five unparalleled [bad acts].
This is how the practice of Simhanada is completed.
May everyone attain jewels and virtue through this my ritual and practice! May the protector of Simhanada and beings be free from disease!
Composed by Vajapada that is inseparable from Pandita Avadhuti-shri.
    Translated by Lama Karma Paljor.
