The Practice of Ushnisha-Vijaya

    I prostrate myself before Ushnisha-Vijaya!
Performing the rituals that were proclaimed earlier, imagine the white syllable bhrūṁ on the moon. From it appears [a goddess] with a white body, three faces, three eyes, young and youthful. She is adorned with all kinds of jewelry. Imagine the Blessed One, possessing eight mudras. The faces on the right and opposite are yellow and black. The four right hands hold a multicolored vajra, the Enlightened One on a lotus, an arrow, and [form] the mudra of supreme giving. The four left hands hold a bow, a noose [with the mudra] of a scorpion, [form] the mudra of fearlessness, and hold a vessel. She resides inside a stupa cave. The head is adorned with Vairocana. Having realized the birth [of such a deity], imagine your own seed syllable as residing in the heart on a lotus.
After that, gaze at the syllables “oṁ hūṁ trāṁ hrīḥ aṁ aḥ,” which are located in sequence on the crown of the head, between the eyebrows in the middle of the forehead, on the neck, navel, and feet.
    Then recite the mantra:
    oṁ bhrūṁ svāhā
This concludes the practice of Ushnisha-Vijaya.
    Translated by Lama Karma Paljor.
