Oral Instructions on Vasudhara's Dharani
I prostrate before the noble Vasudhara!
Place an image or statue of Vasudhara, and make a square mandala of sandalwood in front of her.
Once you have done this, invoke the Blessed One, then make offerings and smear your hands with sandalwood. Tie a thread around the volume of Vasudhara's dharani and hang a garland of flowers. Place a vessel of water in front of it and put it inside. Looking at all living beings with a loving mind, hold in your heart the desire for the manifest [attainment] of siddhi. [At the same time] recite the Vasudhara dharani. If, while reciting, you also pronounce svāhā in the mantra, when the mantra has the syllables svāhā, place a white dūrva flower in the vessel with kara, rice, and water. Wearing clean clothes and in a clean place, repeat this as much as possible for six months and send everything into the water.
This concludes the oral instructions on the Vasudhara dharani.
