śrī-ājñā-vini-varta-gaṇapati-sādhana-nāma
Removing the obstacles of greed through the glorious Ganapati
I prostrate before the noble one who possesses great compassion!
Through compassion, which is equal towards all living beings, you manifest constantly, realizing the grasping [of beings]! With devotion I prostrate before Ganapati, the lord of accumulation!
I will clarify the secret practice.
First, set up the base of Ganapati. On a good cotton or the popon [after bathing] a horse, [place] the form of a noble, with a body of white color like snow. He has three faces, six arms and four legs. The elephant [is] on a mouse with the countenance of a monkey. In his right hands he holds a precious turnip, a sword. With his left hands he holds a bakewell, a mouthpiece of wine, and an axe. The right leg is extended, the left leg is bent. Both [legs] are benignly situated, being crossed.
At the bottom [is] a white goddess. Being on the countenance of a monkey, she covers half of the mystery of the noble one. The two goddesses that rest at her feet bring down the jewel from the mother's mouth. They destroy the vessel, remove the poverty of practice, fulfill the aspirations. Draw this on the karchen plants [skar chen]. On the four sides write with bile:
tadyathā namaḥ stute gaṇapati kaṭṭa kaṭṭa maṭṭa maṭṭa raṭṭa raṭṭa daha daha gṛihṇa gṛihṇa pañja pañja namaḥ stuste gaṇapati ru ru canaya svāhā oṁ a bhutra vina bukha mañca dhara bhrama gacchati ha ha ya mahūta tikṣita nan praye vaye mi kuru kuru curu curu muru muru namo nama svāhā
At the end of everything, write the names and [that which is] increasing. Behind this, visualize a long dharani. Carry out the consecration. In front of this [image] on a white mandala with eight petals, smear everything with sandal water. Set fresh white flowers on top. Make offerings to the noble one with wine, radishes, turnips, boiled rice, pastries, etc. When you do so, without visualizing yourself in your mind, repeat this mantra:
oṁ gaṁ gaṇapati ma ma ratna siddhi ga ga ga ga ga ga ga ga gaṇapati svāhā
Speak like this and associate with the enumeration marks. For one month definitely you will attain [the result]. Then, when you realize offerings to the bodily form, then associate with the graveyard. When you have placed the feet of a person inside, at dawn place with your hands and bring the torma up.
oṁ gaṁ gaṇapati ratna siddhi ga ga ga ga ga ga ga ga gaṇapati svāhā
oṁ gaṁ gaṇapati baliṁta khāhi khāhi
Perform the offering with the mantra seven times.
Then perform this mantra for the hymn:
oṁ gaṇapati ratna ratna siddhi māma roddha roddha gaṇapati ga ga ga ga ga ga ga ga ga kaṭa kaṭa svāhā gaṇapati padmana puṣṭi kuru maṭa maṭa svāhā gaṇapati siddhi paśaṁ kuru ra ṭar ṭa svāhā gaṇapati ratna vau ṣaṭ gṛihṇa gṛihṇa svāhā
Due to recitation one hundred and eight times, one will hollowly complete the aspirations in the mind. Having attained the realm of Chakravartin, one will find the jewels without effort. One will attain [everything] without the need for elimination, and therefore one should be diligent in torma.
May through the virtue of compiling this noble practice, which removes all obstacles of greed, the jewels of the universe be subdued and the unsurpassed fruit be attained!
Thus concludes the noble Ganapati's practice of “Removing the Obstacles of Greed” compiled by the great Acharya Indrabhuti.
