Practice of the co-born glorious Kalachakra
I prostrate before the glorious Kalachakra!
You protect from fears in the terrifying universe! When copulating with a girl, You act in purity! I prostrate before him who [manifests] the inseparability of compassion and wisdom!
This was recorded only in the realization sutra. Due to the virtue of the perfect mind that proclaims the aspect of the earth, which is proclaimed everywhere, compose a mandala, etc., and then make a mandala. When you have done so, bring up the torma. Through the preliminary actions performed beforehand, realize the elimination of hindrances.
Then visualize the vajra structure [appearing] from the syllable bhrūṁ. In the midst of it on a red lotus and the Sun [appears] the shining syllable hūṁ. From it, light is emitted and the Enlightened Ones, etc., are seized. Then the bestowal of all offerings is realized.
[From] the void [appear the disks of] wind, fire, water, earth, ocean, corpse, lotus, moon, sun, and flame. Meditate that in the midst of it a precious structure is built up from which light radiates. On top of the Moon and Sun is a seat of wrathful Kamadeva. Holding a vajra and a bell, [a combination is shown]. Together with the white queen that is like a snowy mountain. [Possessing] the adornments of the six paramitas. Possesses the qualities of purity and immeasurability of all qualities. Possesses the essence of the five bodies of the Enlightened One.
At the navel is burned the Enlightened One along with his consort. At the navel drips a stream of the good [substance] of the moon. Possess the vajra and the combination of the two sources of dharmas. Meditate in the right way on the three existences.
On the basis of the combination in equilibrium of the vajra and the lotus, [arises] the bindu of mind on the lotus, wisdom. By virtue of this co-arisen [deity], the indestructible clear light becomes directly [perceivable]. In approach [appear] the five nectars, etc. The four principal ones of the families [appear] in recitation of the mantra, etc. [Realization] appears in individual dissolution, etc. Thus is formed the approach of nectar that appears from the vajra and lotus.
The three [qualities] of the vajra, whether joy, etc., come to equilibrium in the lotus and are formed [there]. Wisdom fills everything without disappearing in connection-connection. It appears as a great practice.
[Everything] is realized through subtle yoga. Thus the other appears for others. Through being in balance with unidirectional [concentration] on the all-embracing lord, the supreme mystery, [ordinary and special signs will appear. One will see mirage, space, etc.
oṁ kālacakra āḥ hūṁ hoḥ svāhā
oṁ hraṁ hrīṁ hrṛiṁ hruṁ hrḷiṁ hraḥ svāhā
oṁ vajra dhātvi śvare āḥ hūṁ svāhā
[To get rid of] defects on the basis of samādhi, realize recitation due to the aspects of sitting, etc. Carry out meditation of the taqas of the sun, moon, time, corpse, ocean, fire, space. When you divide the characteristics, make offerings of torma. When you bless with the syllables of time and corpse, realize the offerings with the seal of the sea and the eye and with samādhi.
oṁ brahme viṣṇu nairitye vāyu yama agne samutreṁ īśva rendra yakṣe bhyaṭ sapari vāre bhyaṭ i daṁ baliṁ gandhaṁ puṣpaṁ dhūpaṁ dīpaṁ akṣataṁ da dā mahi teja akatya sapari vāre śīghāṁ i daṁ baliṁ gṛihṇa saṁ tṛipta hūṁ hūṁ phaṭ vajra dhara ājñā payati svāhā
Pronounce this mantra.
The bestowal of the supreme jewel is generosity. The absence of falling down [bhindu] in union with the mother is moral discipline. Realizing the absence of falling down of sounds, etc., is diligence without laziness and discarding duality. Ubiquitous steadfastness is the highest meditative immersion. The yoga of bliss is clear light, wisdom. The fruit of it arises miraculously and is not encompassed by the mind. Thus the glorious Heruka is proclaimed.
In like manner [manifests] tantra, which arises in a small amount of time. Because of the arising of this hidden heart, the great flame of primordial wisdom blazes in the real yogis of practice.
This is how the practice of the co-born glorious Kalachakra is completed. Compiled by Acharya Kalachakrapada. Translated by the great pandita Buddha-shri-jnana and the translator Jampei Pal.
