The practice of the seven syllables
I prostrate before the glorious Vajradak!
Since it is difficult to adhere to extensive [explanations] for most childish [beings] and women, [I will combine] in the most concise form what is brief [in essence]. Having done so, I will gather everything in seven syllables. After completing the mantra of enlightenment, emptiness in making offerings and so forth, fully realize the practice of Vajradaka, that which appears in the center of the body together with love. Visualize the mountain of seven jewels and eight peaks that appears from the syllable suṁ, which is above the mandalas of the four elements [that appear from] yaṁ, raṁ, baṁ, laṁ.
oṁ me dinī vajrī bhava vajra bandha hūṁ
oṁ vajra prākāra hūṁ baṁ hūṁ
oṁ vajra pañjara hūṁ raṁ hūṁ
oṁ vajra vitāna hūṁ khaṁ hūṁ
oṁ vajra sara dzā la trāṁ saṁ trāṁ
oṁ vajra jvala ana lārka hūṁ hūṁ hūṁ
Having formed six such as, vajra earth and so forth, [one imagines that] a multicolored vajra resides in the chakra. There revolves a garland of multicolored vajras. Visualize six spokes. There [appears] the great bliss, Vajradak in male form, who appears from the syllable hūṁ. With six arms, three faces, three eyes. Meditate on being marked by all the characteristics.
Really possesses eighty characteristics. The all-embracing lord appears [by means of] Sanskrit vowels and consonants. With the vajra and bell, immerse yourself in equilibrium. Adhere to sweat and human skin. On the left hand is the kapala and the khvatanga rod. In the right hand is a trident. Possesses a tiara made of a garland of skulls. The oblique holds a multicolored vajra. On the body are thrown capals with half of the moon and six seals-mudras. Countenances: blue, yellow, green. Thrown on a garment made of tiger skin. [Standing on] Bhairava and Kalaratri. The outstretched right hand presses the Sun. The protector [appears] in a similar manner.
He is embraced by Vazhravarahi or the goddesses of offerings such as mudra etc. They are intoxicated with supreme joy.
jaḥ hūṁ baṁ hoḥ
These seize the original wisdom, etc. On the six spokes are the six yoginis that revolve to the left [in a certain order], encircling. The first is the goddess Heruki. The second is Vajrayuhairavi. The third is Shashachandi. The fourth is Vajrabhasi. The fifth is Vajratikshna. The sixth is Vajradakini. In color, they are blue, yellow, green, red, gray and respectively white. Hair loose, mothers with great anger. Three-eyed, wearing robes of tiger parts. Arms separate. In two hands they hold a damara and a bell, that they make sounds. A human skin is thrown on. Standing on top of the hungry spirit and the Sun. Wearing a tiara made of a garland of skulls. Standing on a seat with their right leg extended. All the gods appear according to the sequence. Meditate as arise from six syllables.
lāṁ māṁ pāṁ tāṁ khaṁ
By this you bless the five elements.
oṁ āṁ hri ho hūṁ hrī
This is for the skandha of form, etc.
bhrūṁ hūṁ kha ā ho haṁ
This is for purification of ayatānas.
oṁ hana mahi svāhā hu vau ṣaṭhe hūṁ hūṁ ho phaṭ haṁ
Relating to the upper part of the chest, head, top of the head, top of the head, shoulders, eyes, etc.
oṁ baṁ haṁ yoṁ hriṁ moṁ hre hriṁ hūṁ hūṁ phaṭ phaṭ
Established in the navel, heart, neck, head, top of the head and others. For the body, speech, and mind:
oṁ āḥ hūṁ
Establish them [in visualization].
The chakras contain the six Chakravartins. Everything is filled with the essence of the five nectars that are in the hands of the five goddesses. Devotions are given with skull-capalas. Offerings are made, hymns are sung, and nectar is savored. Practice by acting in this way. With an attitude of mind without fear, carry out the repetition of the seven syllables of the secret mantra.
oṁ hrīḥ ha ha hūṁ hūṁ phaṭ
By meditative immersion and recitation, life is maintained in every way. At this time realize the remembrance of purity:
The branch of true enlightenment in the form of remembrance is Heruka. The branch of true enlightenment in the form of perfect categorization of teachings is the blood-drinking mother. The branch of true enlightenment in the form of diligence - Vajrabhairavi. The branch of true enlightenment in the form of joy is the special Chandali. The branch of true enlightenment in the form of perfect purification is Vajrabhasi. The branch of true enlightenment in the form of deep concentration is Vajratikshna.
Drinking water, bracelets, jewel, earrings, bangles, brahmin thread - associated with the six paramitas and the seal form.
Thus concludes the practice of the seven syllables compiled by the acharya, the invincible Chandra.
