prajñā-pāramitā-sādhana
The Practice of Prajñā-pāramitā
Following the rituals described earlier, meditate on emptiness. Afterward, visualize the yellow syllable dhīḥ, which rests on the moon atop a red lotus. When this is perfected, the yellow Prajñā-pāramitā [emerges from it]. Akshobhya is situated at the edge of the diadem and the braid. He forms the mudra of expounding the Teaching and holds a blue utpala along with a volume of the [Teaching] at the edge of his left [hand]. A cloak is fastened over the top. He is adorned with ornaments and garments made of divine substances. When meditating in this manner, [say:]
oṁ dhīḥ śruti smṛiti vijaye svāhā
Recite this mantra.
Such is the concise practice of Prajñā-pāramitā known as Malava. Translated by Monk Tsultrim Gyaltsen based on the instructions of the mentor, Bodhisattva Danashri.
