The practice of Lokeshvara, the lord of the world

I prostrate before the noble Avalokiteshvara!
On the basis of the seed of the syllable lāṁ realized in accordance with the preliminary rituals, all that appears as truly final. On the basis of this the lāṁ is fully formed. From it [manifests] Lokanātha, which shines like the light of the moon. He is adorned with all ornaments. Possesses a crown of hair and sits cross-legged on the lotus and the moon. In his left hand he holds a lotus. The right [in the gesture of] bestowing the supreme. Meditate thus.
[Such is] the wisdom of heart commitment. Make two fists and join the middle fingers in the form of an aspect of the lotus opened outward.
    oṁ maṇi padme hūṁ
Such is the mantra for recitation.
This is how the practice of Lokeshvara is completed.
    Translated by Lama Karma Paljor.
