The practice of the glorious Simhanada

I prostrate before the glorious Simhanada!
I prostrate before Simhanada, the teacher who destroys all diseases!
Only by meditation and yoga can one be freed from all harmful things.
First, everyone should cleanse his mouth, etc. Dressed in clean clothes, sit on a good seat on clean ground. Meditate on the syllable hrīḥ, which is on the moon in your own heart. By rays of light from it, all the Tathāgatas are invited. Having made offerings, realize repentance for harmful things, etc.
Then meditate on love, compassion, joy and equality. Through the preliminary actions of proclaiming the mantra of purity by one's own nature, meditate on emptiness.
oṁ svabhāva śuddhaḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho haṁ
oṁ śūnyatā jṇāna vajra svabhāva ātma ko haṁ
Then look at your body as if it were like an echo. Having done so, [visualize that] a red lotus with eight petals [appears] from the formed red raṁ syllable. On it, from the formed syllable āḥ [appears] a white lion. By rays of light from the syllable hrīḥ on top of it, the Tathāgatas are invited. Meditate that when enters you, [transforms into] Simhanāda, the lord of the universe. The body is white in color, possesses three eyes, is adorned with a cap of braids. Clothes made of the skin of a tiger are thrown on. Sitting on a seat of lion and moon in the position of a playing king. Meditate on him that is like the light of the moon.
In your right hand [you hold] a trident entangled with a white serpent. In the left hand, on top of a growing lotus [is] a flaming sword. On the left [is] a lotus vessel filled with a variety of sweet-smelling flowers. See the five Tathagatas radiating from one's own body.
Then the Slogom-seed from one's own heart is seized by the jnyanasattva and brought [within]. After this, the Tathagatas are emitted and one's own self is given eppowerment. Then Amitabha adorns with a diadem. Visualize being marked in this way.
Then realize the repetition of the mantra. Use the mantra of the gods. Such is the mantra for this:
oṁ āḥ hrīḥ siṁha nā da hūṁ phaṭ svāhā
Then, for the sake of making offerings, make a mandala of saffron and so forth. When you have done so, offer flowers, etc., and make offerings. Also recite the mantra of the rosary:
namo ratna trayāya nama ārya avalokiteśvarāya bodhisatvāya mahāsatvāya mahā kāruṇikāya tadyathā oṁ a kaṭe vi kaṭe ni kaṭe kaṭaṁ kaṭe karo ṭe karo ṭaṁ vīrya svāhā
Holding the mandala form with this mantra, repeat it twenty-one times. If by doing so you anoint the sick person, he will live.
Thus ends the practice of Simhanada, the lord of the universe.
