Jambhala practice

    I prostrate myself before Jambhala!
After meditating on emptiness, the yellow Jambhala appears in the sun from the syllable jaṁ. With three faces and six arms, he wears a crown made of a braid with Akshobhya. In his three right hands, he holds a matulunga, an iron hook, and an arrow. His first left hand embraces his consort, who is on his left side. The others hold a mongoose along with a lasso and a bow.
Having generated such an essence, visualize this body before you. Remain in a sublime state, meditate on Vajradhara on the top of your head. In doing so, rely completely on him and receive the empowerment. Once received, offer the vajra water bowl one hundred and eight times.
    oṁ jaṁbhala jalendraye svāhā
    This is the mantra.
This concludes the practice of Jambhala from the oral instructions.
    Translated by Lama Karma Paljor.
