A condensed practice of the glorious Jambhala

I prostrate myself before the glorious Jambhala!
Performing the rituals that were proclaimed earlier, [imagine] in your heart, in the middle of the moon, the yellow syllable jaṁ. From it [appears] the glorious Jambhala with a yellow body and two hands. His right hand holds a vīja pūraka, his left hand holds a mongoose that pours down a rain of jewels. He wears a diadem of the five Enlightened Ones. Both feet press down on the head of a conch shell and a great treasure chest with a lotus head. He wears a garland of blue utpala and is adorned with all kinds of jewels. Meditate on yourself as the body of Jambhala [as described above]. Imagine yourself as having fully entered your own home and as one who showers various jewels.
Then make a fist with both hands. Bend your middle fingers at the third joint, [one] in the middle of [the other]. This is the mudra of Jambhala.
    oṁ jaṁbhala jalendraye svāhā
With this mantra, offer the palm of your hand with water to the Holy One, one hundred and eight times. Then, after making the offerings, recite the mantra. Siddhi - you will undoubtedly appear as the great lord of gifts.
This concludes the concise practice of the glorious Jambhala, composed by the great acharya Chandragomi.
    Translated by Lama Karma Paljor.
