saṁkṣipta-jambhala-sādhana
Brief practice of Jambhala
I prostrate to the Blessed Jambhala!
[While performing] the rituals that were proclaimed earlier, [imagine that] from the syllable jaṁ [which is] on the lotus and moon at the heart, rays of light appear and with them real offerings are made for the Enlightened One, etc. Having done this, perform repentance for the harmful, etc.
Then, having previously performed [the meditation] on emptiness, [imagine that] there, on the correspondingly multi-colored lotus and the moon, [appears] the syllable jaṁ, from which a seed arises. By rays of light from there, the goals of living beings are fulfilled. Having realized it, it becomes perfect. From it [appears] Jambhala, the color of gold. He has the diadem of the five Enlightened Ones. Adorned with beautiful clothes and ornaments, with one face and two arms. In his right hand he holds a vijapuraka [vīja pūraka], in his left he holds a mongoose, which disgorges various jewels from its mouth. He has a garland of blue utpala. At his two sides are two yakṣas, who pour out a rain of bundles of jewels. Visualize yourself as collecting garlands of limitless rays of light from a vase with a cluster of jewels that resides under your feet.
oṁ jaṁbhala jalendraye svāhā
Perform the following mantra recitation.
Make fists with both hands and make the mudra, connecting the last three joints with the center of the middle fingers. Perform the bestowal with this mudra, [touching] the heart, neck, crown, and the space between the eyebrows in the center of the forehead.
As before, immediately meditate in this manner. Having done this, thus perform the offering of a handful of water one hundred and eight times.
oṁ jaṁbhala jalendraye dhana mede hida dapāya svāhā
Thus concludes the short practice of Jambhala.
