nairātmyā-sādhana
The Practice of Nayratmya
I prostrate myself before the Blessed Nayratmya!
First meditate on compassion if you wish to [implement] methods of harming all living beings. Having done so, contemplate emptiness from within and without. In the space of the syllable aṁ, the stand of the cutting dagger appears like the moon. On it, fully visualize the syllable aṁ.
Then the yogi should meditate on the radiation and gathering of the chakra. Having done so, he will perfect all of this. [When he does so,] on the disc of the moon in the heart of the corpse [appears] the Blessed Nairatmya with a black body. She holds a cutting knife, a kapala, and a khvatanga staff. Visualize her with two arms and one face. Her three eyes are round and red. Her red-yellow hair stands up on her head. On her head, neck, and heart are the syllables oṁ āḥ hūṁ. Imagine the moon in the heart as the handle of a cutting knife and the syllable aṁ there. After visualizing, recite the mantra:
oṁ a ā i ī u ū ṛi ṛī ḷi ḷī e ai o au aṁ svāhā
Recite this mantra.
This concludes the sadhana of Nairatmya.
