Brief Practice of the Five Goddesses

I prostrate myself before all the Enlightened Ones and Bodhisattvas!
Then, after completing the ablutions, I will briefly explain the five goddesses.
There is Mahapratisara with a yellow body, three faces, three eyes on each face, and ten hands. The right and opposite faces are black and white. In the five right hands, she holds a sword, a vajra, an arrow, [shows the mudra] of generosity, and in the hand near the heart, an umbrella. In her five right hands, like the corresponding sixth, she holds a bow, a victorious banner, a bundle of jewels, an axe, and a conch shell. She wears a crown from Ratnasambhava. Her cloak has black sleeves. It is decorated with red robes on top. She is in a majestic position with her legs half crossed. Adorned with all the decorations and clothes of the gods.
Mahamayuri with a green body, one face, and two arms. Beautiful with a peacock feather eye. The right and left hands are in the mudra of supreme giving.
     Maha-Sahasrapramardani is similar and blue.
Mantra-Anudharani with one face, four arms, and a black body. The right arms hold a sword and form the mudra of supreme giving. The left arms hold an axe and a rope.
Mahashitavati with a red body, one face, and four arms. The right hands hold a sword and form the mudra of supreme bestowal. The left hands hold an axe and a rope.
They are marked with three syllables. Their mantras reside in the middle of their own seed syllable together with their own names.
This concludes the brief explanation of the practice of the five goddesses.
    Translated by Lama Karma Paljor.
