The practice of the goddess Marichi

    I prostrate before the goddess Marichi!
    Here first visualize the disk of the Sun. On top of it, visualize on the seed, the fifth [syllable] of the fifth [row], the second of the first [row]. When you have done so, [visualize that it is] adorned with half of the Moon and bindu.

    From it arises the goddess Marichi with a red-colored body and six countenances. The first countenance is red, the second black, the third green, the fourth yellow, and the fifth white. On top is the black face of a pig. It is decorated with ashwaka and stupa. Possesses a large belly and garlands of skulls. The red hair on the head rises upwards. Possesses a snake harness and a tiger skin skirt. Carries out the lowering of obstacles. Sits with outstretched left [leg] on a multicolored cart. In his right [hands] holds a sword, vajr, wooden hammer, arrow, vajr with one tip, axe. In the left [hands compose the mudra] of a scorpion together with a harness, holds a kapala, an ashvaka branch, the head of Brahma, a bow, and a trident. Visualize three eyes each.
    In front, in the middle of the round tree, visualize both hands with the index fingers extended parallel to each other. When you do this, engender pride by saying, “I am the Blessed Mother of Marichi.”
    Then compose a mudra. When you join the vajra palms, extend both middle fingers, making a sprout. When you do so, cross the two thumbs together. And grasp the tips of the two index fingers.
    This is followed by a mantra for recitation:
    oṁ mārīcyai māṁ hūṁ hūṁ phaṭ phaṭ svāhā
    This is how the practice of the goddess Marīchi is completed.
