sarasvatī-sādhana
Saraswati practice
I prostrate before the goddess Saraswati!
With rays of light from the life force in your own heart, grasp the Saraswati chakra before you. Make offerings with flowers, incense, lamps and ointments. The incoming wind-prana enters the root of the life force in the heart.
In the midst of it [the heart appears with the syllable] hrīṁ a perfect adornment. In the middle [appears] the perfectly beautiful [disk] of the moon. Perfectly white, [possessing] a clear radiance like a luminary. The sun's rays spread very widely from between the stamens [of the flower]. Uncontaminated and soft abide on each, two and two, petals of the white [lotus].
Through the emission of white rays of light, the darkness of the heart is completely eliminated. As before, carry out the recitation [mantra] of knowledge for approaching in the number of one hundred thousand times, twenty thousand, five thousand.
Then [follow] the utterance of disputation, which is completely established on the tongue and chakra. After establishing the highest chakra in the interbrow in the middle of the forehead of the one for whom the practice is performed, the statement about the formation of submission is explained.
This is how the practice of Sarasvati, composed by the Brahmin Vrihaspati, is completed.
