The benefit and goodness of the attributes

I prostrate before the Blessed Hevajra!
I prostrate before Hevajra and Nairatmya, who are completely surrounded by eight dakinis!
Having made prostrations, I will proclaim the benefit and goodness of those attributes that one holds [on oneself].
When one holds an elephant, etc., the pacification of diseases is realized. [This shows] the intrinsic nature of the lungs, respiration, insanity, hemoptysis, leprosy, pustules, spleen and liver. This is known as the sequence [of parts] of the elephant, etc.
The eight aspects, such as earth, etc., form all kinds of well-being. Since the six defects, such as pride, etc., are cut off, the cutting dagger in the right [hand] is [represented]. If one is sheltered by the comprehension of the material and immaterial, [the lotus vessel is shown.
For the sake of the likes of fish-like beings appearing from the poisoned water of the ocean of cyclic existence, one holds [the symbol of] good fortune, the rocheta. The severing knife in the right [hand is associated] with the seal of obscurations-klesh. Living beings like a pig are shown [cutting off] the special darkness [formed by] dullness, for they arise from the dream of dullness.
From the drum in the right [hand], sounds appear. The tortoise suppressed by passion eliminates the illnesses of beings. Strong desire [shows] satisfaction with nectar.
You hold the tortoise and the lotus vessel. Anger shows the defeat of enemies. Living beings like the serpent show satisfaction with great anger. Therefore, you are holding a snake and a skull.
Since fearful predators comprehend bad things, [a lion is shown. Since pride is destroyed by a lion, one holds a lion and an axe. [There are] two of the kinds of exaltation, such as the exaltation of self and so forth. Since the knot of the views of self and greed is loosened, the monk destroys cyclic existence. For example, when holding the skull and wheel-chakra, because by turning the Wheel of Teaching, which is like the skull, one shatters the clutches of obscurations into dust. Since the side of the landscape of thoughts and suffering is cut off, the right hand [shows the mudra of] the scorpion.
Blessed great great glorious Heruka! You are completely surrounded by the assembly of Mamo! [Possessing] the qualities of the attributes you hold! [Possessing] the qualities of acquiring all the proclaimed capabilities! Serving on the great boat of methods and wisdom, liberate boundless living beings from the ocean of cyclic existence! May they abide on the dry shore of liberation!
Thus is the benefit and good of the attributes completed.
