The Sequence of the Stupa Establishment Ritual

I prostrate before the Blessed One, Lord Shakyamuni!
This is the abbreviated stupa ritual performed by beginners between sessions. It is established through the instructions of the holy guru.
First, purify the site and the room, set up the offerings, and so on. Then meditate on the arising stage of your own deity. Next, receive the earth through the Lord of the Earth by reciting these words of truth:
I act for the benefit of others. To this end, I ask the goddess to joyfully grant me what emerges from the stupa!
Say this and [begin] digging. Purify the clay with light and visualize it as a treasure.
Then form a small ball and anoint it with oil. When you have done so, assume the sachcha posture and visualize yourself as the goddess who bestows blessings. Make offerings to her and recite the prayer. Perform the [repetition] of the root mantra and the mantra of accomplishment [or realization] of all of them only during the day.
Then put on fine clothes and dissolve everything, whether it be the mandala of the Enlightened One or the like. Make offerings in a virtuous manner and recite the hymns. Stabilize it with the mantra of interdependence.
Then recite the stupa prayer, the prayer of blessings for the benefactor, and so on. Then make offerings and hold a feast for the sangha. Following the instructions of the guru, perform all that pertains to the elements of water, wind, space, and those created by the mind, and so on.
May all sentient beings, by performing the acts of this condensed stupa ritual—a ritual akin to this—attain the realm of the Chakravartin! May they, having attained this, successively come to behold the perfect form of the goddess Ushnishi!
