The Benefits and Merits of the Hymn
All of these are the vast, true qualities of all the Enlightened Ones. And even if a mantric practitioner recites them just once, everything will be accomplished for this very reason. Thanks to these kings of praise hymns, the Tathāgata’s satisfaction is brought about. It is said that through these, throughout the eon, a vast realm [of abode], exalted status, and siddhis will be bestowed. A physical [form] will also be revealed to those who, due to their dullness, do not comprehend the supreme.
Through all the Victorious Ones—such as the great protectors Vairocana, Akshobhya, and Ratnasambhava, the Pure Victorious One Amitabha, and Amoghasiddhi—you will attain [achievements] through the essence and the transformation into gold. And even all that is supreme among them will be bestowed in full. Your siddhis will become vast, manifesting as joy. [You will possess] the perfection of all goals without exception [for yourself and others]. For the mind, which will also bring about the fulfillment of all thoughts, aspiration will be granted. Great wisdom and mighty power will be revealed [due to] supreme virtue.
These very benefits and blessings from the hymns of praise are proclaimed in *The Ornament of the Vajra Mandala*, the tantra of great yoga.
