The Practice of Kurukulla

    I prostrate before Kurukulla!
    First, the practitioner should sit comfortably on a good seat. Through rays of light emanating from the seed syllable in the heart, the Blessed One, together with the Enlightened Ones and the bodhisattvas, is invited to come forward. Make [offerings of] fine offerings to them, perform the Refuge Vow, and so on.
    Next, focus on emptiness. When you have also performed the blessing with the mantra, [visualize] that the moon disk actually emerges from the syllable aṁ. On it, visualize the syllable taṁ, adorned with a garland of rays of light. When it is fully transformed, concentrate on the Blessed Kurukulla [who emerges from it]. She sits cross-legged in the vajra posture on a throne of red lotuses and the Sun. Possessing six arms, her first right and left hands form the mudra of perfect victory over the three realms [Trilokya-vijaya]. Visualize that her second right and left hands [hold] an iron hook and a red utpala. The last two hands draw a bow and an arrow near her ear. She is draped in red robes. Five Tathāgatas [appear] as adornments atop her head.
    On the disk of the Moon, in the center of the red utpala within the heart of the one for whom the practice is being performed, [there is] the red syllable tāṁ. Meditate thus.
    It is anchored in the mandala of the wind and is seized from within by an iron hook. It resides entirely within his heart and is seized again and again from within the practitioner by the arrowhead made of red utpala. Also recite the mantra.
    This is the mantra for this:
    oṁ kurukulle hrīḥ — subjugation of the essence <name> [or name dag gi wang du drub] is performed — hoḥ svāhā
    Then, as complete intoxication and subjugation arise, you definitely touch his two feet. When this is perceived, control is established. In the same way, you will also be able to subdue Indra.
    This is the practice of Kurukulla.
