The Shortest Practice of Glorious Jambhala

I prostrate before the glorious Jambhala!
[While performing] the previously described rituals, [visualize] the seed syllable of the third [group] for the glorious Jambhala at the center of a moon disc within the heart. It is yellow in color, surmounted by the deity of emptiness, and adorned with a moon crescent. From its perfected essence, the yellow, two-armed glorious Jambhala [manifests]; he holds a pījapūraka in his right hand and a mongoose in his left—a creature resembling a source that pours forth a rain of jewels. He wears the diadem of the Five Buddhas. His two feet trample a heap of conch shells and a great treasury of lotus clusters. He holds a garland of blue utpala flowers. He is adorned with all manner of ornaments. Meditate upon yourself as the form of Jambhala.
Also, visualize yourself raining down a profusion of various precious gems and the like within your own home.
Next, form the mudra. Clench both hands into fists. Bend the middle fingers [like a hook] at the middle joint. This is the mudra of Jambhala.
    oṁ jaṁbhala jalendrāya svāhā
Using this mantra, make one hundred and eight offerings while sprinkling the Noble One with water.
Then recite the mantras while performing the offerings.
Then, without a doubt, the siddhis will manifest as great generosity.
Thus concludes the brief practice of the glorious Jambhala, composed by Acharya Vajra-Chandragomi. Translated and verified by the Pandita Amoghavajra and the monk Bari, a translator from Kham.
Translated by Lama Dondrub Dorje Tulku.
