Practice of Uchushma

    I prostrate before the noble Jambhala!
    From the syllable a in the heart of the ordinary body or Akshobhya, [appears the disk of] the moon. In its heart [appears] the golden-black syllable hūṁ that possesses light. In the center of the vajra with nine peaks that appeared from it, over the moon [appears the syllable] hūṁ. By the light from it the deity is invoked. He is satisfied with offerings and abides in my heart.
    When you conceive the four measureless and enlightened attitudes, by light from the vajra turn all particles [of matter] into deity and dissolve.
    oṁ ā
    Thus realize the invitation. Having dissolved there, visualize as deity.
    The lord of wealth on the lotus and the Sun adorned with jewelry. Spewing forth jewel, suppressing head and feet [appearing] in wrathful form. [Possessing] the beautiful diadem of Akshobhya, holding a blood capala and a mongoose. Adorned with nagas. As before, in the heart visualize the moon.
    When one gives [blessings with syllables] twice on the crown, face, right and left shoulders, heart, right and left thigh and secret place, a golden light is emitted from the ten syllables [that are] on the moon. By the light, offerings are made and transformed into deity, and jewels are collected and spewed out. From the syllable baṁ in the palm of the hand [a golden vessel appears] and jewels are spewed out. [Representing] the ten syllables of the jewel holder on the index finger, middle finger, ring finger, little finger, and thumb [fingers] of the right and left [hands]:
    oṁ indrani mukhaṁ bhramari svāhā
    oṁ jaluṁ svāhā
    Bless successively and [perform] the mantra of offerings. From the hand, the countenance, the secret place [proceed] to the hand.
    Then a stream of red-yellow-colored water enters the countenance.
    namo ratna trayāya namo maṇibhadrāya mahā yakṣa senā pataye
    oṁ jambhala jalendraye svāhā
    [If you] offer water in six periods of time half of the year, you will attain great wealth. If you attain, anoint with poisoned blood, juice of stinging [plants], black mustard, ghee, and clarified butter with the help of the wrathful Humkāra. [Smear it and] dry it. When you visualize a triangle inside [appearing] from the syllable raṁ, bring it up.
    Make from earth or stone a bodily form the size between your thumb and little finger [when you spread them apart]. Dissolve the deity, place it in the hearth, and make offerings. Draw a mantra or bodily form in the eight-spoked chakra. Dissolve the deity and bind [by twisting]. Holding the form of a blazing jewel, [imagine that] water drips down from the feet in the form of a multicolored stream and the original wisdom dissolves and enters the body of the deity. Enter the original wisdom into the [form] that stands aside from the seat or into the painted body. Make offerings by holding the image of the form in the vessel.
