First. Argumentation and reliability of texts
In the sutra of the Naga king's questions, it is said:"The great treasury of the indestructible bodies of the three Jewels is inexhaustible, the great treasury of the boundless great understanding of the Teaching is inexhaustible, the great treasury that satisfies living beings is inexhaustible, the great treasury that is equal to the heavenly space is inexhaustible, the great treasury that is represented by these four is inexhaustible." So it is said about the own nature or essence of the treasury.

Kangyur or Translations of Words
The term Kangyur (Tib. bka' 'gyur) means literally "Word Translation. At the same time, it should be noted that here we are talking about the Words or instructions of a certain high-ranking person, an enlightened person or a saint. In the context of Buddhism, this collection refers, therefore, to the words or instructions of the Buddha, the Enlightened One. There is another version of such a collection, which is distributed in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. This variant is called Kama, which can be translated literally as "Words". However, in this work, the main collection under consideration is the canonical translation, which is called Kangyur. The texts of the collection presented here occupy an important place in the life of the practitioner, helping him to understand the essence of the state that he is trying to achieve while performing practices, rituals, and studying texts that deal with the view, behavior, and meditation.
About Tengyur
The term "Tengyur" means "translations of treatises" or "translations of explanations" and contains texts that are attributed to scholars and realized teachers of Buddhism.
Tengyur Structure
All editions of the Tengyur are divided into categories that relate to doctrinal statements or literature of a certain kind. These diagrams are important for understanding how the distinction between different texts is traditionally understood. Below is a table showing the titles of the Tengyur editions and the number of texts in each of the sections (according to the various articles related to this collection). Keep in mind that all the data in this table will still be rechecked when working with text collections themselves (visual verification and subtraction).
Offering lamps to the nine planets. Calculation
According to astrology, every year of our life is influenced by a particular planet. These calculations are presented in various texts on Indian, Chinese, and Tibetan astrology. Also, such records can be found in such collections as "Notes from the jade box". What can such records be useful for? To gain the protection of the planets or reduce the amount of damage that the given planets (or the spirits of the planets) do) they can hit us.
In this short article, we will not go into the ritual part (which is very simple), but we will show how to calculate the desired number of the planet, which we will have to work with throughout the year.
So, a few notes on what to consider when calculating:
- the age of the person for whom the calculation is made;
- the calculation is slightly different for men and women;
- the numbering of the planets can be arbitrary. But it must take into account the calculation features you use (the planets must be arranged in order);
- in the text of " Notes. Jade box " indicates the period starting from 11 years. We will use numbering from the first year of life;
- "the planets repeat themselves cyclically at regular intervals. Accordingly, there is no sacredness in determining which planet governs a particular year.
