The Noble [sutra]. The Sutra of the Great Chariot. Prajña-paramita "A few words".
Praise be to all the Enlightened ones and bodhisattvas!
So I heard once.
The Blessed One was staying in Rajagriha at the peak of the Grif Assembly with a great blissful assembly of twelve hundred and fifty monks and many millions of hundreds of thousands of bodhisattvas. They were surrounded on all sides by millions of hundreds of thousands of gods, such as the mighty Indra, Brahma, the guardians of the world, etc. [Surrounding all,] they stood looking up to [the Blessed One] who was on the lion's throne of the heart-essence of glory.
Then the bodhisattva-mahasattva, the Noble Avalokiteshvara rose from his seat and with his shoulder exposed, touched the ground with his right knee to show reverence. Showing reverence and folding his palms respectfully toward the Blessed One [said]:
I make a request to the Blessed One!
Blessed One! Great is the spiritual merit of the Perfection of Wisdom in a few words! Only by hearing it, living beings will be purified of all the veils of deeds-karma and will definitely attain enlightenment. By diligently practicing the appropriate mantra, they will manifest the realization of the mantra when there is no obstacle to anything. Please clarify [this teaching]!
Then the Blessed One approved of what bodhisattva-mahasattva Avalokiteshvara said:
Son of the [noble] family! You have been diligent for a long time for the benefit of living beings! Good! Good!
Therefore, son of the [noble] family, listen very well and be attentive! All sentient beings who only hear the Perfection of Wisdom from a few words that possess great spiritual merit will purify all veils of deeds-karma, will definitely head toward enlightenment, will be diligent in the practice of the secret mantra. They will unhamperedly accomplish [thereby attaining the realization of] the mantra! So I explain to you!
Then the bodhisattva-mahasattva, the noble Avalokiteshvara, said to the Blessed One:
Please explain [what is] the medicine for all living beings!
Then the Blessed One plunged into equilibrium at this time in deep concentration called "Liberation of all sentient beings". Through this meditative immersion, myriads of myriad rays of light arose from the bundle of hair in the interbrow. These rays of light encompassed all the fields of the Enlightened. These rays of light came into contact with all living beings. And all these living beings, from the hells upward, attained unsurpassed, true, perfect enlightenment. Even all the field-countries of the Enlightened were shaken in six aspects. To the feet of the Tathagata also fell the rain of the sandal powder of the gods.
Then at this time the Blessed One proclaimed this Perfection of Wisdom.
The Bodhisattva [should] act with a mind in balance, a loving mind, patience in action, with a mind free from all pernicious things. This heart-essence of Wisdom Perfection must be realized!
I praise the Tathagata, the arhat, the truly perfect Enlightened One, Shakyamuni!
tadyathā oṁ mune mune mahā munaye svāhā
Because I, having thus discovered this Perfection of Wisdom, have attained unsurpassed, true, perfect enlightenment. From this [Perfection of Wisdom] also all the Enlightened appeared.
Because you acquired the essence of this from the Tathagata, the great Shakyamuni, you became the highest among the bodhisattva-mahasattvas. You will become known as the Tathagata, the arhat, the truly perfect Enlightened Rashmisamudgata Shrikuta Raja. This is the prediction of the Enlightened One. All who hear your name will memorize it, read it, explain it extensively to others, write it down in collections of volumes - they will make offerings in this way. All of them will become Tathagats in the future.
tadyathā jaya jaya padma abhe avame sara saraṇi dhiri dhiri dhiri dhiri devata anupālane buddha uttaraṇi pūraya bhagavati sarvāśa maśama sarva satvānāṁ sarva karma avaraṇa viśodhaya buddha adhiṣṭhānen svāhā
This Perfection of Wisdom as absolute [truth] - begets all the Enlightened! The mother of the bodhisattvas that quickly eliminates the pernicious, bestows enlightenment. Even all the enlightened for hundreds of millions of ages cannot express the qualities of this [Perfection of Wisdom]. Reading this - one becomes initiated into all mandalas, and even all mantras become manifestly [realized].
Then the bodhisattva-mahasattva, the noble lord Avalokiteshwara said to the Blessed One:
Blessed One! For what purpose is this "Perfection of Wisdom" [proclaimed]?
The Blessed One replied:
Because the method is easy, all living beings who possess little virtue and intelligence will hold [in memory] the Perfection of Wisdom, read, write down these notes, and immerse themselves [in the essence] of these lines - all of them, because of the ease of the method, will be strengthened in enlightenment. Therefore, this [teaching] is called "Perfection of Wisdom."
Said so, and the bodhisattva-mahasattva, the noble lord Avalokiteshvara said to the Blessed One:
The Blessed One so [proclaimed] this enumeration of teachings for the sake of happiness and cure, as medicine for all sentient beings, essence for sentient beings with little merit.
Blessed One! Wonderful!
Sugata! Wonderful!
The Blessed One said so, and the bodhisattva-mahasattva, the noble lord Avalokiteshvara, all the bhikshus, all the bodhisattvas together with the gods, humans, asuras and gandharvas - rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said.
Thus concludes the Noble [teaching], the sutra of the Great Chariot, the Perfection of Wisdom - "Several Words".

The heart of blessed Perfection Wisdom
The only section.
Praise to the Blessed Perfection of Wisdom, Prajña-paramita!
So I heard.
The Blessed One abided in Rajagriha at the peak of the Vulture Assembly along with the great blessed assembly of bhikshus and the great blessed assembly of bodhisattvas.
At this time, the Blessed One was in equilibrium in the deep concentration-samadhi of the enumeration of the dharma particles of "Deep Shining. At that time, the bodhisattva-mahasattva, the Noble Lord Avalokiteshvara on aspects in the practice of deep Wisdom Perfection. And he saw empty of his own nature these five clusters-skandhas.
Then, prompted by the power of the Enlightened One, the noble Shariputra said to the bodhisattva-mahasattva, the noble lord Avalokiteshvara:
How should the daughter or son of a family of noble ones who wish to practice the profound Perfection of Wisdom be trained?
So said the bodhisattva-mahasattva, the noble lord Avalokiteshvara said to the noble Sharadwatiputra:
Sharaputra! The son or daughter of the family, if they wish to practice the profound Perfection of Wisdom, will gaze in this way. Look upon these five clusters-skandhas as truly empty in their own nature. Form is emptiness. Emptiness is form. Emptiness is not different from form. Even form is not different from emptiness. Similarly, feelings and thoughts and samskaras and consciousness are empty.
Shariputra! All dharmo-particles are empty, have no characteristics, are not born, are not suppressed, are not polluted, are not free from pollution, are not diminished, are not increased.
Shariputra! Similarly, emptiness has no form, no sensation, no thoughts, no powers and influences of previous actions-sanskar, no consciousness, no eye, no ear, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind, no form, no sound, no smell, no taste, no bodily sensations, no dharma-particles.
There is nothing from the absence of the element of the eye to the absence of mind and the element of mind consciousness. There is nothing from no ignorance and no suppression of ignorance to no old age and death and no suppression of old age and death. There is no suffering, the source of all [suffering], suppression and the way. There is no primordial wisdom, there is no acquisition, there is also no absence of acquisition.
Shariputra! Thus, since bodhisattvas acquire nothing, they are stable and abide in the Perfection of Wisdom. Since there is no impurity in the mind, there is no fear. Completely departing from erroneousness, one arrives at the completion of nirvana. Even all Enlightened ones who abide in the three times, relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, become truly perfect Enlightened ones in unsurpassed, truly perfect enlightenment. Therefore manifest the understanding of truth through the unmistakable mantra of Wisdom Perfection, the mantra of great knowledge-knowledge, the unsurpassed mantra, the mantra that is equal to the incomparable, the mantra that completely appeases all suffering! Recite the mantra of the Perfection of Wisdom:
tadyathā gate gate pāra gate pāra saṁgate bodhi svāhā
Shariputra! Bodhisattva-mahasattvas will be trained in the deep Perfection of Wisdom in this manner.
Then the Blessed One rose from deep concentration. And praising the bodhisattva-mahasattva noble lord Avalokiteshvara with "Good!" he said.
Good! Good! Son of the family! That's right! Son of the family! Exactly so!
In accordance [with what] you should practice in deep Perfection of Wisdom. By that you shall please even the True-Souled ones!
The Blessed One said thus. And honored Shariputra, bodhisattva-mahasattva, noble lord Avalokiteshvara, all those around, gods, people, asuras, gandharvas - all rejoiced. And they praised what the Blessed One had said.

ārya-kauśika-prajñā-pāramitā-nāma
Noble [Teaching]. Prajna paramita "Kaushika"
Praise be to all the Enlightened ones and Bodhisattvas!
So I heard once.
The Blessed One was in Rajagriha for the feast of Gridhrakuta, along with a large benevolent Assembly of Bhikshus and many hundreds of thousands of Bodhisattvas who appeared as young princes.
Then the Blessed one said to Shakra, the Lord of the gods:
Kaushika! This is the essence of the Perfection of Wisdom here. Perfection of Wisdom [not seen] as duality or nonduality; it is not signs, is no evidence; it is not grasping or rejection; is not increasing or decreasing; is not seagrassnet or non-contaminated;; is not clean or not clean; not a rejection or non-rejection; not a presence and an absence; it is not connection not connection; it is not binding and non-binding; it is not a condition and no-condition; it does not appear as a Dharma-particle and does not appear as a non-Dharma-particle; it is not reality-Suchness and is not non-Suchness. Is not an absolute completion and is not the inverse of it.
Kaushika! Such is the essence of the Perfection of Wisdom, that it is like this! Since all dharmo-particles are equal, the essence of the Perfection of Wisdom is equality. Since all Dharma is particles, the Perfection of Wisdom is profound. Since all Dharma phenomena are particles, the Perfection of Wisdom is separateness. Since all Dharma particles are unshakeable, the Perfection of Wisdom is unshakeable. Since all Dharma is particles without a proud mind, the Perfection of Wisdom is without a proud mind. Since all Dharma is particles without fear, the Perfection of Wisdom is without fear. Since all Dharma is particles without heat, the Perfection of Wisdom is the absence of heat. Since all Dharma is part of one taste, the Perfection of Wisdom is one taste. Since all Dharma is particles without birth, the Perfection of Wisdom is the absence of birth. Since all Dharma is particles without restraint, the Perfection of Wisdom is the absence of restraint. Since all Dharma particles are like heavenly space, the Perfection of Wisdom is like heavenly space. Since form has no limits, the Perfection of Wisdom has no limits. Similarly, since there are no boundaries of sensations, thoughts, Samskaras and consciousness, the Perfection of Wisdom has no boundaries.
Since there is no limit to the earth element, the Perfection of Wisdom has no limits. Similarly, since there are no boundaries between the elements of water, fire, wind, space, and consciousness, the Perfection of Wisdom has no boundaries. Since there are no boundaries of mount Sumeru, the Perfection of Wisdom has no boundaries. Since there are no boundaries of the ocean, the Perfection of Wisdom has no boundaries. Since vajra is equal to [itself], the Perfection of Wisdom is equal to [itself]. Since all Dharma particles are inseparable, the Perfection of Wisdom is inseparability. Since the essence of all Dharma particles is invisible, the essence of the Perfection of Wisdom is invisible. Since all Dharma particles are equal in the absence of elimination, the Perfection of Wisdom is equal in the absence of elimination. Since all dharmo-chats do not work, the Perfection of Wisdom does not work. Since all Dharma particles are not covered by thought, the Perfection of Wisdom is not covered by thought.
In this way, Perfection of giving, Perfection of discipline, the Perfection of patience, Perfection of perseverance, Perfection of meditative immersion, the Perfection of wisdom, Perfection of methods, the Perfection of prayer-good wishes, Perfection of strength, Perfection of primordial wisdom have no boundaries because of the complete purity of the three cycles. Therefore, the Perfection of Wisdom has no limits.
This "Perfection of Wisdom" is the eighteen kinds of emptiness. This emptiness inside, emptiness outside, the emptiness of the external and the internal, the emptiness of emptiness, emptiness of the great [or great void], the emptiness of ultimate reality, the emptiness of the composite, nothing non-composite, nothing surpassed the extremes, the void of the lack of beginning and end, the emptiness of the absence of a drop, the emptiness of self-nature, emptiness all Dharma particles, the emptiness of characteristics, the emptiness of the invisible, the void intangible, the void essence, void essence, the absence of emptiness.
In short, this emptiness is called the " Perfection of Wisdom."
Stars, flaws [of vision], lamps,
magic illusion, dew drops, bubbles on the water,
sleep, lightning, clouds
Similarly, look at all the components.
namo bhagavatyai ārya prajñā pāramitā yai
oṁ dhīḥ hriḥ śrī śruti smṛiti mati gati vijaye svāhā
When there is no disappearance and birth,
There is neither eternity nor nihilism.
There are no distinct objects, nor a single object.
As the absence of arrival and movement
The Teacher [explained] the interdependent origin,
which calms the building [of the mind] with peace.
I give praise to this Supreme speech of this [teacher],
who is the perfect Enlightened one!
The Blessed one said so, and the noble Sariputra, the Lord of the gods Shakra, Bhikshus, Bodhisattvas, along with the gods, Asuras, humans, and Gandharvas of the universe, rejoiced. They gave praise to the Blessed ones.
Thus ends the noble [Teaching] Perfection of Wisdom "Kaushika".
Translated by Lama Karma Paljor (Filippov O. E.).
