ārya-tathāgatā-nāma-buddha-kṣetra-guṇa-okta-dharma-paryāya
Noble [teachings]. Enumeration of the teachings that proclaim the qualities of the land of the Enlightened Tathagata
I praise all the Enlightened Ones and the Tathagata!
This is what I heard once.
The Blessed One was on the lion throne of Padmagarbha, adorned with precious vajras, in Bodhimanda, Dharmavihara a difficult country to compare. [Along with him] was a great beneficent assembly of bodhisattvas, bodhisattva-mahasattvas, [numbering] corresponding to grains of sand from the hundreds of thousands of hundreds of thousands of millions of hundreds of tens of thousands of countries of the Enlightened One.
At that time, there was there the bodhisattva-mahasattva Prabha-acintyaraja, [that abided] in that mandala assembly of the entourage-environment of bodhisattvas. Then, prompted by the power of the Enlightened One, bodhisattva-mahasattva Prabha-achintyaraja rose from his seat and said to the entire assembly of bodhisattvas:
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of Sahaloka, the realms of the universe is one day of Sukhavati, the realms of the universe, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened Amitabha!
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of Sukhavati, the spheres of creation is one day of Abhirati, the spheres of creation, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened Akshobhya!
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of Abhirati, the spheres of the universe is one day of Kashaya-dhwaja, the sphere of the universe, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened Vajragarbha-prajita!
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of Kashaya-dhwaja, the spheres of the universe is one day of Avinivartin-chakraghosha, the spheres of the universe, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened Su-artha-vinishchaya-padma-suparipurna-kaya!
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of Avinivartin-chakraghosha, the realms of the universe-one day of Rajas-tas, the realms of the universe, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened Dharma-dhwaja!
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of the Rajasthasthas, the spheres of the universe is one day of Dipayata, the sphere of the universe, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened Simha!
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of Dipayata, the sphere of the universe is one day of Suprabha, the sphere of the universe, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened Vairochana!
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of Suprabha, the sphere of the universe is one day of Dukhsamatikrama, the sphere of the universe, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened One Dharma-kirana-suparipurna-kaya!
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of Dukhsamatikrama, the sphere of the universe is one day of Vibhushita, the sphere of the universe, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened One Abhijña-sarva-sarva-mati-kirana-raja!
O sons of the Victorious One! This world age of Vibhushita, the sphere of the universe is one day of Adarsha-mandala-ghosha, the sphere of the universe, the land of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Enlightened Chandramanas!
O sons of the Victorious One! Through this way of entering into the enumeration and analysis of the realm of the universe-[will be revealed] one day of Padmashri, the realm of the universe, the special [place of] practice, the place of practice of the bodhisattva Samantabhadra in the land of the Enlightened Sribhadra, the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the truly perfect Enlightened One, that surpasses the number of grains of sand of all the hundred and ten thousand countries of the Enlightened Ones!
O sons of the Victorious One! If any son or daughter of the [noble] family adhere to this enumeration of teachings proclaiming the qualities of the country of the Enlightened Tathagata, keep [in mind], read, realize the understanding of all things, and explain perfectly in an extensive manner to others, then when death comes, they will abide before the Blessed Ones, the Enlightened Ones of the immeasurable ocean of the countries of the Enlightened Ones, boundlessly [abiding] in the ten directions! They will remember births up to the unsurpassed, truly perfect enlightenment, the true Enlightened One!
Bodhisattva-mahasattva Prabha-achintyaraja rejoiced and proclaimed this, which was bestowed by the Tathagata, the arhat, the truly perfect Enlightened One. All the circle-mandala circles of the entourage of the bodhisattva-mahasattvas praised what had been said by the bodhisattva-mahasattva Prabha-achintyaraja.
Thus concludes the noble [teaching] enumeration of the teachings proclaiming the qualities of the countries of the Enlightened Tathagatas.
